Post MyLDS Syndrome (PMS)...

After 2 days and 2 night of recharging myself, I gain back the consciousness to workout my daily life. Yes, life got to continue, office got to attend. But memories got to be framed and immortalized. Hence, I am here again to draft this wonderful moment in my half dead blog.

It was a daring decision made, to follow my heart and do something I really want. May be because I want it so badly and there comes my gut to apply for 1 week leave although I am not entitled to. I am lucky to have a understanding boss who let me off and pursue what he also believes that will contribute to my learning and development. And that's how I got myself into SHIT (super highly intensive training)

It was really an intense week especially starting from the week before MyLDS till the 3rd day of it. We were rushing to complete our session outline, to prepare session material and to deliver the sessions. Now looking back, everything was just done in a tick of time. We are a bunch of efficient facis. Sleeping only 3.5 hours a day and still can be so energetic during morning plenary, and deliver our session well, we are just so professional. Undergoing stress and still stealing some time to chill out, we are so cool. I admire each and everyone of the faci!

Starting from not know each other, we worked together to plan out the session, till together we deliver the session by hook or by crook, till we celebrate the success with hugs, tears and cheers. Again miraculously, friendships are formed in just a week! We inspired each other, and we learn from each other. Not to mention, we support and cheer up each other. I'll never forget the moment we worked hard and we played hard! OMG, I can't stop recalling the TANK game and the "hitting back" game. We were just crazy behind the delegates.

Of course, the most inspiring moments comes from delegates. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't stop tears rolling down my cheek during closing ceremony. And I also couldn't prevent the smile on my face when reading those suger cubes. Appreciations and recognitions have always been my motivation. They need not to be an award or certificate, they need not to be announcement to the whole plenary. They just need to be a small note in my pigeon hole or a warm hug or just a simple "thank you". I have gained all these small little appreciations and recognitions at the end of the conference. All these make my life so meaningful and I can proudly tell others that I contributed to the future by developing and inspiring the youth, the future leaders!

Same as those previous AIESEC experiences, no concrete learnings that I can list out one by one in point form. They are come to me unconsciously. One thing for sure I have gain is to realize how bad I am to be a motivational speaker on stage and also how good am I when comes to pesonal sharing. I guess I will realize more stuff that I have gain from this conference when I have the oppourtunity to apply what I have learnt here, just like how I realize/recall what I have learnt in TtT, when I try to apply them in this conference . :P

No doubt that some expectations are not met and somethings are not run in the way I want it to be, but overall it's one of the best experience I have in AIESEC. The question now is....will it be a beautiful ending episod in my AIESEC chapter? Or, there will be more challenges coming up in the same chapter?

p/s: some emotions just can't be put into words due to poor vocabulary and coomunication skill. However, I know how it feels and that's sufficient enough!

Accepting the reality

Have been working for 2 weeks. Things are getting better and better. The best achievement from last week was to discover an alternative to reduce my parking cost. It may not be a good solution for long term, but let's see how it goes....

I start to pick up the whole process of a market research. I only know that when I start involving myself in the projects I am given to take part in. Boss is nice. They gave me the opportunity to maximize my exposure of everything in the company. Attending presentation, observing focus group, charting, create questionnaire, edit questionnaire, dealing with other department and etc. They also allow me to handle various kind of client, from F&B, to Pay TV, to bank and consumer goods. Colleagues are friendly. They will ask me for lunch. And because of them, I discover new places for delicious food, such as SS2, SS17, some where around Capital Square, Jaya 1 etc.... Seniors are helpful. They willing to teach me. Hopefully I wont irritate them with my on-going questions.

Actually learning is all about one self. You can't expect people teach you everything, spoon feeding you will all the knowledge. And people have their things to be done as well. Hence, I need to go extra mile if I want to success. Internet is a good place to learn. It's convenient and it's FREE! Most of the time, I need to search online for client profile and their competitors' promotion, not to mention some words that I don't know the meaning. Not bad, I am becoming more independent in searching for knowledge! Hehe....Some times I found out that I ask internet faster than I ask people. LOL

As I thought working life is so routine, actually I realize that I am the one who decide how I want it to be. No ones say that I must lay on the bed right at the moment I reach home. No rules say that must go out at Fri night and Saturday and rest well at Sunday. Yes, working hour is fix, but it's just 8 hours a day. I plan to add some spices in my life.

The first thing I need to do is to go for a workout or yoga. I feel so weak recently. Easily feel cold, and fatigue, no appetite, climb up few steps staircase feel like suffocating and tummy is coming out to say HI. Argh! I need to take the first step. If not forever I'll stay like this...or even worse!

Oh yeah, next week will be a busy week for me. I got a presentation to do and one of the project is rushing to be passed to the next department to proceed with the survey. Anticipating the presentation....gonna be my first presentation my job.

Overall................I am fine!

peace...

p/s: continue pictures from China's album so that my blog wont look so dull.

The transition period...

This time around reminds me about 3 years ago, where I have to say bye bye to my friends and we all head to our respective uni. We missed each other because we can hardly meet up so frequent as it used to be. From secondary school to uni is a transition in life, so as from uni to office.

The difference for this time is that I am the one walking away from you guys. How I wish I can still work together with you all, how I miss those time we had fun and sorrows. But I have no choice, life has to go on. All the best to you and me!

I have started working (training) for 2 days. It seems like a job I like. However, I still need to get my hand dirty and start working then only I know what is this industry really doing. Despite from the super inconvenient location, everything seems to be fine. Oh, of course also the damn traffic jam, which I guess all the working people in KL have to bare with it. Argh, I got to seek for alternative to go to office.

What is this working life all about? Going to work, come home, sleep, and it continues the next day. Saturday is for social, Sunday is for house shores and rest. Is it suppose to be like that? Can I make it more interesting?

Anticipating tomorrow, where I really start working!

Blog update upon request...

Yes, I update my blog for you, so make sure you read this, Sharron...

I didn't notice there has been a month I have not update my blog. I nearly forget that I have a blog. Not that I am busy, just that I have been moody this month. Lot's of ups and downs and they are too personal to share here.

Job hunting
I have been to lots of interviews, tests, presentation. But I am still stuck in the current stage--- jobless. It's not that I am not good enough, it's not that I am choosy (maybe yes), just it's hard to find a perfect match, and I am looking for the perfect one.

Well, after 2 months searching for job, I have noticed the power of networking. Applications sent through employee of the company will be processed faster compare to those I click "apply" online.

I am tired of attending interview. I am going to wait for this few "last hope" and see who offer me first and I am going to accept it. It's not that I give up on my dream job. Probably I need some time to find my dream job too. Let this small small experiences be my stepping stone to it.

that's all bout job hunting

AIESEC event
My life has never lose contact from AIESEC although I am alumni now. Becoming OC in AIESEC Alumni Global Conference (AAGC) is another experience that I can never gain in LC. It's a different experience OC-ing together with other alumni and dealing different issue. The more important thing is to enable me to participate in AIESEC international conference. We always say AIESEC is an international organization. This time around, I really feel the internationalism where people from 107 countries existing in a hall. And how AIESECer "work hard and PARTY hard"

My 3rd LLDS...so much different from my first and second one. This time I have lots of fun. Do not feel tired also...haha.

RIS reminds me about my internship. How this internship adds value to my life. How it changes me, and after a month I am back to the usual me. (This is the thing I pondering about, sigh!) Anyway, I miss my hosting family. I even dream that I visit them.

that's all bout AIESEC

My life is just about job hunting and AIESEC.....so that's all bout my life in the past month. Hopefully next post I am going to tell you how my working condition is.

hmm....this has deviate from my initial reason of writting a blog. I wanted to leave myself some memories about myself, my life, but since I went to exchange, my blog serve as a place to update myself to friends and family.........

Convocation + Birthday

So happen both my big days fall on the days next to each other. Concerning about this issue, the first thought that comes to my mind is actually feeling bad to my friends because they have to fork out a lot buying convo and birthday presents for me. Thanks for the steamboat, cake, flowers, bears, puppy, chocolates, pen, movie, and not forgetting the sms and facebook wishes. Thank you very much!

Convocation
I woke early morning, knowing that this is gonna be a special day. And yes it was. 3 years in UPM, struggling with assignments and test every month, I am just waiting for that 10 seconds on stage to receive my certificate holder from pro canceler. I waited the whole morning, sitting with my course mates in Dewan Besar for that 10 seconds on stage. But it's worth.

It's worth especially when my family and friends are also excited about my convocation and come and celebrate with me. It was so happy to see my mum and grandma with their smile on their face when I meet them again outside the hall. It was so fun to take pictures with my friends from PESS, MBS, AIESECers, course mates and junior. Some unexpected presents really got me in susprise.

Birthday
It's a special birthday also compare to the previous 22 times. It's special because I was not the main character on that day, that event. I went for my friend's special day, her convocation. It's her turn busy taking pictures with family and friends. I was just standing aside helping her to hold her flowers.
Of course I did have a celebration with my friends before 12th Aug!

The end of convocation is like the end of an chapter in my life. Coincidently, it's the begining of my 23rd years life. I should be excited to begin a new chapter, but I feel reluctant to move on. Probably I am too confortable with the current situation. Writting a new chapter is not easy as I need to define new goal and get myself ready for changes and challenges.

Convocation is done. Birthday has passed. I have no more excuse to delay my job hunting mission. Need to work hard to do reseach on the companies and industries background. Need to learn more interview tips from google. Need to utilize my networking.
